This report summarizes the ECEI Excellence labels assigned to EPIX project clusters (Rete di Imprese Luce in Veneto, Sustainable Infrastructure Cluster, HABIC cluster, Dutireg/STEPP cluster and MoWiN.net) within the project duration. The ECEI quality labelling system consists of three levels – Bronze, Silver and Gold.
N° 10 tailored training and coaching sessions to increase cluster managers knowledge and broaden their skill-sets necessary for managing cluster initiatives and developing value chains in smart cities’ framework.
Local workshops organised by the EPIX partner clusters with their respective regional authorities responsible for RIS3 implementation to jointly discuss how to increase the role of clusters in S3 processes and how S3 can be used to foster innovation progress among clusters ecosystem. The workshop findings and recommendations of S3 managers will further enrich the clusters’ strategies.
An online induction training for all project partners will be organised by SIC in the first 2 weeks from the project start to clarify all issues regarding the ClusterXchange functioning and provide them with all information on its rules and other important EU-related business subjects, such as the Internal Market, European law issues and support services including inter alia the Enterprise Europe Network and SOLVIT. Moreover, information sessions will be organized by SIC and ELCA for project partners (besides the Kick-off meeting), and by project partners for its cluster members (and other actors) interested in the exchange programme within the project’s first two months.
One of the main objectives of the EPIX project is the promotion and supporting the ClusterXchange mechanism an initiative that allows organisations (clusters, companies, business support organizations and others) to improve their innovative and networking capacities through targeted visits to hosting organisations, exploring a foreign cluster and meeting potential partners to support short-term exchanges to better connect Europe’s industrial ecosystems.

An informal network of participants involved in the EPIX short-term exchanges, connected to the COSME ClusterXchange network, aimed at reinforcing the visibility of this professional exchange scheme and providing continuous value to its participants. Through the Alumni Network, the project partners will reach out, follow up and nurture these connections to turn them into valuable and mutually beneficial relationships.

Report on outreach networking events organised by EPIX clusters, include the following: a) Networking moments with other PPs projects/initiatives, organised besides PPs’ institutional events and related thematic fairs and conferences to promote EPIX actions and its achievements, to facilitate cross-sector partnering and raise awareness on the ClusterXchange opportunities; b) Informal Lunches and/or Dinners with experts and cities’ policymakers; c) European Strategic Cluster Partnerships events organised by the COSME programme and EOCIC (European Observatory for Clusters and Industrial Change) attended by PPs.
